The heart of the villa is the infinity pool, edged by a covered terrace with lounge seating and framed by jungle on every side. Upstairs, the top deck has a pergola and views across the canopy with a glimpse of the ocean, and the balconies have a daybed and a hanging swing bed for slow afternoons.

Inside, the living room opens through floor-to-ceiling windows to the pool. The chef's kitchen has arched windows, a stone island, open shelving and an espresso machine, with a dining table for the whole group.
Bedrooms: two with king beds, one with a queen and one with two single beds. Bathrooms are each one of a kind, including a green-tiled shower that looks out to the trees and a stone soaking tub open to the breeze.
There's also a private office for remote work, air conditioning and a washer and dryer.
You'll have the entire villa to yourselves: the house, private guest house, infinity pool, terraces and top deck are all for your group only. Our concierge partner, Todo Nosara, can arrange vehicle rentals, private chefs, grocery stocking, surf lessons, massages and more before or during your stay.
Perched on a hillside in Playa Pelada, the villa sits up in the treetops near the well-known Lagarta Lodge. Being up high means you catch the breeze, which makes a real difference in the Costa Rica heat. From the top deck you look out over the jungle canopy, with a peek of the ocean in the distance.
Wildlife is part of daily life here: howler monkeys moving through the trees, birds at sunrise, and plenty of other jungle neighbors. Despite the secluded, natural setting, you're close to the beaches of Playa Pelada and Playa Guiones and to Nosara's restaurants, cafes, yoga studios and surf breaks.
The villa is reached by a rough dirt road, as are many homes in Nosara. To get around, we recommend having your own wheels: an ATV, UTV, golf cart, e-bike or car. Our concierge partner, Todo Nosara, handles all vehicle rentals and delivers them right to the villa, along with any other services you need during your stay. If you'd rather not drive, tuk tuks are easy to find and can pick you up at the house for trips to the beach, restaurants and town.
The villa is reached by a rough dirt road, so we recommend renting an ATV, UTV, golf cart, e-bike or car (Todo Nosara can deliver one to the house), or using local tuk tuks.
You're living in the jungle here: expect howler monkeys at dawn, birds, geckos and the occasional insect. It's all part of the magic.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Melaza. The home is beautifully designed with large, comfortable bedrooms and plenty of space for the 4 adults and 4 teens in our group. The pool is larger than it looks in the photos and quite deep on one end which our kids loved. It feels like you are secluded in the middle of the jungle, even though you’re walking distance to the beach and restaurants nearby. Gaby was a pleasure, and responded promptly to the couple issues we had. We would absolutely stay again if we return to Playa Pelada.

Une semaine au paradis. La maison est immense, impeccable, confortable, décorée avec goût. La vue est apaisante, la piscine parfaite et adorée des enfants. Les plages environnantes sont peu achalandées et extraordinaires, le village de Guilones hyper charmant. Gaby est très sympathique et réactive et nous a donné de précieux conseils. Notre seul regret, de n’être pas restés plus longtemps. Pura vida!

We had a magical, one month stay at Casa Melazza. I have only positive things to say the property is beautifully designed - one can feel the love the owners have poured into this home. The view from the infinity pool is spectacular and feels very secluded as all one can see is jungle canopy all the way to the ocean/ beach which is only a 5 minute walk away. The bedrooms are all big and comfortable with great bathrooms and plenty of space. Our host Michelle, was super responsive and helpful, and her manager Gaby also was attentive, friendly and addressed anything that came up promptly and with professionalism. Casa Melazza is a gem - we would rent again in a heartbeat.
