The casita sits lower on the property with its own private entrance, its own outdoor space, and its own gated access. When Pipeline and Rocky Point are occupied, you'd never know. This is a completely independent stay.

THE CASITA

A 2BR/1BA guesthouse designed with the same intention as its neighbors — whitewash wood, Blanco Estelar quartz surfaces, ridged white tile kitchen backsplash, and black tile bathroom. Lighter in palette than Pipeline, with the same commitment to detail. The open living area flows through glass doors onto a covered garden terrace elevated above the road, surrounded by tropical gardens.

Sleeps 4 comfortably, up to 6 with the sofa bed.

Bed configuration (king vs twin XLs) in the master — just let us know at booking or up to a week before arrival.

THE DETAILS

Organic cotton sheets. Raw Botanicals bath products, handmade in Costa Rica with organic botanicals. Non-toxic, fragrance-free cleaning throughout. Battery backup system for Nosara's occasional power outages. Fully gated with smart code lock entry.

ARRIVAL NOTE

Parking is just outside the main gate — off-street and free. From there it's 16 stairs up to the casita entrance. If you're traveling with heavy luggage or have mobility considerations, just let us know and we'll make sure Gaby is there to help on arrival.

Casita Backdoor shares the same grounds as Casa Pipeline — a 4BR/4.5BA luxury villa with rooftop yoga shala, charcoal biotile pool, Jacuzzi, and rancho that sleeps 14. Book both for groups up to 20. The casita is yours from the moment you arrive — self check-in via smart code lock, no coordination required.

You have full access to everything on the property: both bedrooms, the full kitchen, living area, covered garden terrace, outdoor shower, and surfboard rack.

Parking is just outside the main gate — off-street and free. From there it's approximately 15 steps up to the casita's own fully gated entrance. The casita and Casa Pipeline share the same grounds but are completely independent — separate entrance, separate access code, complete privacy.

We have a dedicated housekeeping laundry room on-site — separate from the washer and dryer inside the casita — so linens are always laundered fresh without any interruption to your stay.

Gaby, our on-the-ground property manager, is your day-to-day contact — responsive, local, and genuinely invested in making your stay exceptional. Whether it's a question before arrival, something you need during your stay, or a recommendation for where to eat, she's just a message away.

Casita Back Door has two designated off-street parking spots just outside the gated entrance, with a short staircase leading up to the casita nestled in the trees. While you can easily walk to Playa Guiones or Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort, many guests enjoy the convenience of exploring Nosara by ATV, golf cart, or tuk-tuk—all popular and fun ways to get around town. We’re happy to connect you with trusted local rental companies or tuk-tuk drivers for rides to the beach, shops, or restaurants.

Check-in is at 4pm, check-out at 10am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available depending on the schedule — just ask and we'll do our best.

Nosara is a sleepy town where people rise early and sleep early — it's part of what makes it special. We ask that music and outdoor noise wind down by 10pm, in keeping with the rhythm of the community.

Small gatherings are welcome. For larger events or retreats with outside guests joining, please reach out before booking so we can make sure everything is set up properly.
